10 Year Westcott Gala

Over the last decade, the Westcott House has been a source of inspiration for thousands of people. As a cultural tourism site, it has served as an economic driver for our region. As a community resource, it has brought together creative, like-minded people who care about architecture, design, history and preservation.

This past fall, 400 people joined us and our special guest Peter Bohlin to celebrate 10 years of community engagement. You may view the photos from the event here.

Peter Bohlin, a world-renowned architect, is a recipient of the AIA Gold Medal, the highest honor in the profession. He shares this status with only a select few architects, including Frank Lloyd Wright. Among his many signature works, Peter collaborated with the late Steve Jobs on the Apple retail store in downtown Manhattan.

Peter has agreed to work with the Westcott House to develop a vision for our new education center. Peter’s involvement in this project allows us to continue inspiring people through great architecture & design.

“I have lived at the intersection of people, technology and art. I believe in making an architecture that is both technically sophisticated and humane; that nurtures and enables people; that touches their hearts. I love to think how we might reveal the nature of places, both natural and manmade; the nature of people and the nature of how things are made. I love to consider how we move and see and feel; how we react to the world around us.”  - Peter Bohlin

We hope you will join us for the 2016 programs and events as we continue celebrating our 10 year anniversary. A schedule of events will be announced soon.
