The Westcott House Celebrates its First Birthday!
October 14, 2006 This October, The Westcott House will celebrate its first anniversary of being open to the public. We have much to celebrate including an array of educational programs, community partnerships, and outstanding feedback from over 12,500 visitors to date! Members and Donors will receive a special invitation to join us on Friday, October 13th, as we take a look back to our accomplishments and honor those people who have helped make it all possible. The following day, October 14th, we will offer a free sampling of art and craft activities from our Summer Arts Camp for youth and families in the yard from noon to 3:00 p.m. Later that evening, the Westcott House will be aglow with images from Lillian Gish's film, The Wind. From 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., enjoy free admission to the Westcott House a cash bar as we share a birthday with our hometown starlet. October 14, Noon - 3 p.m. Family Fun Day on the Westcott Lawn! Join us for a free sampling of crafts from our Summer Youth Arts Camp including origami demonstrations. House tours are free for members.
