Wright Now 2007 The Westcott House Foundation presentsWright NowAn annual showcase of contemporary art and design initiatives exemplifying the spirit of innovation reflected in the architecture of Frank Lloyd WrightExperience Wright Now 2007The Westcott House Foundation together with the Dayton Art Institute, The Bar of Modern Art, WYSO 91.3 FM, present WRIGHT NOW - a provocative concert experience integrating contemporary Japanese-American music and art in an immersive multi-media installation. The event will feature the abstract paintings of Japanese artist and American resident, Junko Yamamoto, the art rock music of SOFT, a contemporary band from Kyoto and real time, animated video installations of The Now Device, a multi-media group from Seattle. This annual event symbolizes the principles of innovation Frank Lloyd Wright was known for and that are exemplified in the architecture of the Westcott House. In celebration of the Westcott House anniversary, WRIGHT NOW will feature a series of Japanese inspired workshops for families and youth including a traditional tea ceremony, Origami workshop, and an intro to Sumi-e and Haiku. This event is supported in part by a grant from the Ohio Arts Council Innovation Fund with additional support from Emporium Wines and The Underdog Café.
