Wright Panorama

Photography by Thomas R. Schiff Exhibition at The Westcott House

The Westcott House Foundation presents "Wright Panorama," an exhibition of the spectacular range of panoramic images of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture.

Using panoramic photography, Thomas R. Schiff strives to break away from the documentary nature of architectural photography to explore the concepts that are present in every great building but which are not visible in conventional photographic images. Schiff's panoramic studies reveal new realities that help to understand the relationship between people and the spaces of architecture. The panoramic camera revolves in time through a space, capturing a viewer's experience, giving the sense not of looking at architecture but of being surrounded by it. His images provide new insights into Frank Lloyd Wright's original and revolutionary concepts of architecture and space.
