Visiting During COVID-19

We are excited to welcome you back to the Westcott House! Please review our guidelines carefully to help us make your experience safe and enjoyable.

As we reopen, the health and safety of our visitors and our community are our top priority. Our reopening plan is informed by the feedback from our volunteer team, board, peer organizations and developed in alignment with official health and government recommendations. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff at info@westcotthouse.org.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

  • If you feel unwell or have symptoms of COVID-19, please visit another day. If you develop symptoms after purchasing your tickets, please contact our staff at info@westcotthouse.org to reschedule your tour.

  • All visitors should reserve a tour ticket online or by phone before visiting. We have reduced the size of our tour groups to eight persons per tour and to manage our occupancy and prevent overcrowding, all tours must be purchased in advance.

KEEPING YOU SAFE DURING YOUR VISIT

  • Face masks = kindness. Please wear a face mask for the protection of all visitors, volunteers and staff. Disposable masks will be available to visitors who did not bring their own masks. No person can participate in a tour or shop in our store without wearing a mask. If you have any health conditions that prevent you from wearing a mask, please do not plan a visit until the restrictions are lifted.

  • Staff, volunteers, and guests are asked to use preventive measures and apply hand sanitizer before proceeding to check-in area. Disposable nitrile gloves are also available for extra protection for those guests who wish to browse through our products in our museum store.

  • We have implemented strict cleaning and sanitation practices in all our spaces. Our staff will be responsible for disinfecting high-touch surfaces and cleaning the bathroom routinely before and after every tour.

  • We are adopting contactless checkout and payments as much as possible. We encourage visitors to pay by credit or debit card. Plexi shield has been installed at our register station.

  • Please respect and maintain social distancing of six-feet or more at all times. Guests will be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from other groups of people not traveling with them while browsing the museum store, and participating in tours.

  • Our staff and volunteer team receive a health screening at the beginning of their shift. We also require staff and volunteer members who have other symptoms of COVID-19 to self-quarantine according to CDC guidelines.

IF YOU ARE OUR MEMBER

  • In addition to tours offered to the general public, you are welcome to schedule a customized tour for your family or friends by reaching out to Marta Wojcik, Executive Director & Curator at mwojcik@westcotthouse.org. SHOPPING AT OUR MUSEUM STORE

  • Staff, volunteers, and guests are asked to use preventive measures and apply hand sanitizer before entering the store. Disposable nitrile gloves are also available for extra protection for those guests who wish to browse through our products in our museum store.

  • We will continue offering curbside pick up for our local patrons. Please consider shopping online and make sure to use code CURBSIDE to waive shipping costs. We will contact you about a convenient time to pick up your purchase.
