Multimedia Design Studio for Youth Ages 13-18

A unique opportunity to work with artists and design professionals and build a portfolio of digital art inspired by the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House. Students will engage in a series of hands-on exercises focusing on photography, digital videography, computer-based editing with special emphasis on creative problem solving. Program activities include individual and collaborative projects, as well as daily working sessions in and around the Westcott House.

Our lead instructor is Scott James. A Seattle-based artist, James designs and implements visual installations; mixes live video; develops custom video mixing software and integrates digital media technology. His experience includes a Master’s degree in landscape architecture, graduate level teaching in landscape design and multimedia, work experience in multimedia design and project management. 

Two workshops offered this summer, each Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm:

Each workshop limited to 12 students. $100 for Westcott members or if referred by a Westcott member, $150 for general public, which includes lunch and all program costs, including supplies. To inquire about a scholarship, please contact Marta Wojcikat mwojcik@westcotthouse.org.
